Kent Cottage Holidays was formed in May 2008 with just one property Honey Cottage.
Honey Cottage proved to be a very popular choice for people looking for a short break
home from home stay with that little bit of luxury thrown in. As the Cottage became
more and more popular, planning permission was sought in August 2008 for a Lodge
to be added to the land at the back of Honey Cottage. Having both the Lodge and the
Cottage on the same site would enable larger families to holiday together whist retaining
their own privacy; we also recognised the need to have a property that was disabled
accessible and a property that was pet friendly. This proved to be more of a lengthy
process and challenge than we anticipated. In July 2009 Sunset Loft was refurbished
to meet the ever increasing demand for a short break holidays and to offer something
closer to the seaside. Finally the planning for Honey Lodge was granted and work
began in the September 2009. Honey Lodge was hand built by Chris and was completed
in May 2010 and has been extremely popular offering something a little bit special.
In October 2011 we gained planning permission for our latest addition, a 1 bedroom
tree house designed by Chris. During the past few years we have achieved a four STAR
Gold rating with English tourist board, top review count 2011 Trip Advisor, "Rated
Exellent" award trip advisor, a member of Britain's finest, November 2011 we become
a member of Produced in kent, now we only provide local products within our welcome
packs.
